Keyframe
An animation and video term.
Software applications such as Flash and video editors use the idea of a timeline and a keyframe.
The timeline itself is made up of a series of frames, each representing a point in time. A frame can be empty or it can contain text and images. A 'keyframe' is a frame in which something changes compared to the previous frame.
For example, imagine a slide show, where a single image was shown for several seconds. So the image is present in a number of frames along the timeline. The next keyframe will contain a different image.
