Hotmail
A free email system operated by Microsoft.
Millions of people use hotmail because it is easy to set up an account and costs nothing.
The downside of Hotmail is that because an account is so easy to set up, some people consider the address as unreliable i.e. if you send an email to a hotmail account then you can't be very certain that someone will actually read it.
