Conditional Formatting
A spreadsheet term
Conditional formatting will alter the appearance of a cell depending on what it contains.
For example you can set up conditional formatting to turn a cell red if the number inside it is less than zero.
Or you may set it to change font colour if it meets some criteria. Very handy for spotting important data such as an unpaid bill or making a loss.
In Excel you will find Conditional Formatting under the 'Format' menu.
