Closed Source Software
This is the opposite of 'Open Source' software.
It means the software is the intellectual property of a specific company.
For example 'Office' is a closed source application belonging to Microsoft. You will not be able to get hold of the source code as it is private property.
With closed source software, the company sells a 'licence' that defines how their customers can use the software. For example the licence may be 'single user' or perhaps 'site licence'.
