ATM
This stands for ' Automated Teller Machine'.
This is a machine connected to the bank's computer system.
Once you have entered your PIN number an ATM is able to
> Dispense cash
> Show your bank balance
> Provide a receipt
> Some take deposits (fairly rare!).
They are present on the bank's premises and also in many shopping precincts and individual shops.
Most ATM are free to use but some do charge for cash withdrawals.
