Alphabet taskPut students into teams of four and give them four different ICT related topics, e.g. input devices, the internet, ICT legislation, business documents etc. The team has to fill out an alphabet sheet for each topic they have been given. The aim is to find a related term for as many different letters of the alphabet as possible for each topic. Wanted PosterLet students create their own 'Wanted' posters. Use a digital camera to take each student's photograph - a close up of their face without too much background. They can use this to create their own poster with a personalised crime and a reward of their choice. They will have great fun looking at one another's posters. Activity: 1 lesson

Class YearbookEach student creates a page about themselves using the supplied template. The pages are then compiled into a class yearbook. Activity: 1-2 lessons

Design a new set of tool buttons for a packageThis task asks students to consider the tool buttons used in popular software and then come up with their own design for an improved set. Activity: 30 minutes

Sources of informationStudents are asked to think about the different resources which they can use to find information. They are asked to list the advantages and disadvantages of each resource. If students are doing this task by hand, you may wish to make the table rows larger to enable them to write more into each section. Activity: 30 minutes

Design an Eye ToyThis task explains what an 'eye toy' is and then asks students to design their own version. Activity: 30 minutes
