7. Speed of Wi-Fi
One thing to note about Wi-Fi is that it is not so fast as a cabled network.
The maximum speed of a wireless network is 54 Mb/s (depending on the Wi-Fi standard) but in reality the speeds are much lower than this.
Compare this to a hard-wired Gigabit network that can transmit 1000 Mb/s.
However, even that slower speed is fine for most uses, which is why it is so popular at home and in many offices.
Speed is mostly influenced by the strength of the radio signal - the weaker it is the slower the speed.
