13. WIMP or GUI Interface
Steve Jobs was the owner of a company that encouraged innovation. It is called Apple. He hired the best in the industry to create something that had never been seen before. One of those people is the British designer, Sir Jonathan Ive who conceived of the UI idea of many Apple products including the iPod and the iPhone.
Anyway, Steve Jobs was a true master of how to present a new product (sadly he died in 2011). Here is his one and a half hour presentation of the original iPhone in 2007 that changed the way people used the phone all over the world. It really was a different way of using the phone and the internet - it is not part of your course, so you just need to look at it from your home computer, but it is a significant part of history.
